This morning, I sold my 3000th copy of The Fire Islands, the opening book in my Legionnaire series. That's a truly exciting number, far more than I realistically thought I would sell of any single one of my novels. And the series is doing quite well too. If you're looking for a good military fantasy set on the borders of an analog of Rome where magic is one of the dangers, give this short book a try. You can find it on Amazon or free on Kindle Unlimited. Here's the blurb:
Lesser Tribune Marcus Venandus, Legion officer exemplar, was exiled to the disease-ridden hell hole known as the Fire Islands as punishment for the failed political machinations of his father. While the days of the powerful witchdoctor kings throwing skeletal armies against the shields of the legion have faded into history, all is not right at the edge of the world. Unrest is boiling once again as long dead darkness seeps back into the islands. With the legion more concerned with its personal rivalries than with its duty, it will fall to Marcus and his small, highly disciplined, command to put the horrors of the past back in their graves and literally save Aquila from a fate worse than death.

The Miss Pandora Parson Series
I'm happy to announce that I have been able to make three more stories in my Miss Pandora Series available for my fans. This series of crime stories set in the Old West was originally published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. They focus on a lady gambler named Pandora Parson, a bare knuckle boxer, Corey "Rock Quarry" Callaghan, and his trainer, Patrick Sullivan. As you might imagine, they get into a lot of trouble while basically trying to mind their own business and make a living in a rough and tumble world.
The series is available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. Links are below:

Fugitive, the first novel in my new series, The Unity, is now available on Amazon (or free on Kindle Unlimited). I've been toying around with this book for nearly ten years, but the ideas underlying it and the series stretch back something like three decades. It's a wonderful feeling to finally be making it available to be read. Here's the blurb:
Deep in the Fringe on a tramp freighter, Jewel Aurora is about to discover that there are much worse things than being forced into a marriage to secure her parents’ fortune. On the edges of human space, where no one can be trusted with your back, the young woman is about to stumble upon a fortune that star nations will go to war to possess. It’s a treasure that has already killed two sets of colonists who tried to claim it. And if anyone learns she and her crewmates have found it, it is absolutely certain to attract the attention of the two influential families she turned fugitive to escape—assuming, of course, that she and her shipmates are not the third set of victims to die on a cold little world far from the core of galactic civilization.

Christmas is only a week away so it’s time to line up your holiday reading and wouldn’t it be nice to choose one where Christmas plays an important role in the action. You know, a novel like my book, Forever After.
Middle class, average-Joe, Paul Steele dies minutes after a terrible argument with his wife—dies, but doesn’t quite depart for the hereafter. Instead he wakes in the body of billionaire energy-magnate, Griffon Knight, and no one—not even his wife, Char—will believe he’s come back from the dead to be with her again. Trying to convince her he’s still Paul only succeeds in making her think Griffon is crazy. Yet Paul is not the kind of man who gives up easily and he’s not going to quit until he wins his wife back and convinces her to marry him again.
If you’re looking for a story in which love truly can conquer all, you should try Forever After.

You still have until Thursday to pre-order Legionnaire 13 Fire Storm for 25% off.
Marcus and his legion have knocked Morgantia and Granate out of the war, but that didn’t stop Diamonte from laying siege to his adopted home of Amatista. The invading army is simply too large to confront directly, so Marcus has determined to invade Diamonte itself to force his enemies to break their siege and come defend their own homes. There’s only one problem with the plan. Diamonte has an army of reinforcements heading through Angosto Pass toward Amatista and a second army trailing after the legion trying to catch it from behind. Can Marcus blaze his way through the opposition or will he and his brave men be trapped in a fire storm of their own making?

It’s Escape for the Holidays on my Facebook author page, and today’s feature is my first published novel, written for a series called Reality Love in which each author created a romance around a Reality TV show. After giving the matter a lot of thought, I decided to turn the reality show idea on its head. In Panic Button, you aren’t voted out. The show terrorizes you into voluntarily giving up your chance at the prize money. So if you’d like to escape the pandemic for a few hours by entering a bizarre game, with a deranged host, on an isolated island, why not try Panic Button? Here’s the blurb:
Ellen Specter thought she knew what she was getting into when she won her spot on the new Reality TV show, Panic Button and a chance to win a quarter million dollars. Take a few contestants, isolate them from the rest of the world, set them a few competitions and watch the sparks fly as people forge and break alliances in a desperate attempt not to be voted out. Too bad that’s not the way things work on Panic Button—a show designed to terrorize people into freely giving up their chance at the prize money. To make matters worse the show is run by a mentally disturbed host who doesn’t seem to care how badly he has to hurt people to convince them to leave.

There's just a few days left to take advantage of the pre-order sale for The Jungles of Ekángá.
25% off if pre-ordered by October 1. Long before Prefect Marcus Venandus directed the defense of the Jeweled Hills, Green Vigil Marcus led his first command into the treacherous jungles of Ekángá. As if the jungle itself wasn’t deadly enough, native warriors and shamans strike from its shadows with magic, spear and dart, while the forcibly transplanted Graeci population seethes with unrest in the supposedly civilized regions of the province. Deep in the jungle, young Marcus is about to discover how little lycee combat exercises have to do with surviving the Jungles of Ekángá.

It's not too late to get my new Legionnaire novel, Fog of War, 25% off as a pre-order. The sale ends when the book releases on Thursday, August 6. Here's the blurb:
Despite their impressive victories in the north, Prefect Marcus and the Black Hat Legion stand alone against the full might of Diamonte and Aquamarina. With their home city under siege and the cowardly Lord Totila refusing to lead his host out from behind the walls of Centinela, it falls once again to Marcus to protect his adopted homeland by himself. His only hope is to thread the needle, maneuvering his legion across enemy-occupied Amatista to the one location that might enable him to recapture the initiative in this war. It’s a risky gamble. With multiple armies afield and none of them knowing where the others are, the fate of Amatista will depend on Marcus’ ability to navigate the Fog of War.
